Oliver Davis is Professor of French at University College Cork and co-author, with Tim Dean, of Hatred of Sex (2022), a critique of queer theory’s forgetting of sex and our wider culture’s obsession with trauma.
His research in political technologies spans contemporary French philosophical accounts of politics, queer studies, the psychedelic humanities, conspiracy theory and mis/disinformation. He has published on Guillaume Dustan, Michel Foucault, and Jean Genet, among other gay luminaries.
