Peter Rollins is a Northern Irish philosopher, author, and speaker whose work explores the intersection between philosophy, psychoanalysis, theology, and liturgy. Focused on a technology of negativity, his work pursues what he calls “transformance art” and “decentering practices”.
Under the banner of Church of the Contradiction and drawing on figures such as Hegel, Kierkegaard, Lacan, and Žižek, Rollins creates spaces that incorporate music, spoken word, and ritual to help people tarry with the lack that marks us individually and communally.
