Thaïs Lenkiewicz

Thaïs Lenkiewicz is an artist working in south-west England. Her paintings draw together materials collected from the natural world, the fictional world, and, between them, the internet. Science fiction, religion, conspiracy theories, game shows, and prehistory meet on her canvases to expose today’s “primitive” modes of self-perception and projection.

Lenkiewicz has exhibited widely, including in The Beep Painting Prize in Wales,  Asia Culture Centre Gwangju, Turner Contemporary in Margate, and The Polish Institute, Budapest. In 2010, she established the artist-led space The Pipe in Plymouth.
