William Daniels is an artist. His recent work explores the materiality of found objects, such as the texture of sheet wood, as the basis for the emergence of images. His photorealisitc paintings recreate iconic historical works (portraits, landscapes etc.), using as subjects rough maquettes he constructed from waste card and paper.
Daniels has had solo exhibitions at galleries including Neue Alte Brueke (2023), Maruani Mercier (2020), and Vilma Gold (2014), and has taken part in group exhibitions at The Hermitage Museum, De La Warr Pavilion, Zabludowicz Collection, and many others.
