Mark Vernon

Mark Vernon is a psychotherapist and writer. His most recent book is Awake! William Blake and the Power of the Imagination. He has also written on spiritual intelligence, Dante’s Divine Comedy, and Christianity as understood by Owen Barfield.

Vernon is a psychodynamic psychotherapist in private practice in London. He teaches on spiritual writers and traditions with the Temenos Academy and contributes to BBC Radio 4’s Thought for the Day. His academic path ran from physics, through theology, to a PhD in philosophy. He was ordained as a priest in the Church of England before turning to writing and psychotherapy.
