Jacob Phillips


Jacob Phillips is a Catholic theologian and cultural commentator. 

He is Professor of Systematic Theology at St Mary’s University, Twickenham. His work focuses on the interface between Catholic theology and culture, philosophy, and the history of ideas in modernity and postmodernity.

His books include Obedience is Freedom (2022), Modern Thought Baptized (2007), John Henry Newman and the English Sensibility (2023), and Simplicity and Wisdom (2019).
